A dharma is "ones path" (It actually says to righteousness but we reckon it sounds a bit pretentious that!)
Om is where the heart is aims to spread the love and light to our ever growing community through yoga and good, honest food & drink.
We believe our dharma is to make eating well and doing good for your body and mind, normal, regular, a habit. all while allowing us to serve you with a smile. Some might say we are just Keepin' it real.
Now we all know that up North we have a reputation for being a bit behind the times, and the time has come for a change, a yoga-lution so to speak! There is no reason we shouldn't all have access to tasty, healthy food, a variety of yoga classes and most importantly to us, perfect customer service.
Nothing will ever be too much trouble for us, so we beg of you please, to not be so British about things. If something isn't right, tell us! Then we can make it right, we want every Omie who steps through the door to leave with their tummies and hearts full.
We CAN'T FIX ANYTHING ONCE YOU'VE GONE so please, be honest, be kind.

Brunch + Lunch served everyday 10am-4pm
From July 19th you will still be able to book a table online to dine with us during the daytime, however there will also be a number of tables for walk-ins.
a card will be required to secure your booking but will only be charged in the event of a late cancellation (within 24 hours)/no show, the charge will be £10pp.
Table bookings not required for drinks after 4pm thu-sat.
We don't allow dogs inside the cafe, they are however more than welcome to sit outside!
Yoga is an ancient philosophical discipline practiced the world over, the word meaning union. Union of mind, body and spirit. who wouldn't want that?
What is widely practiced as yoga in the west (not just Yorkshire) is a combination of physical postures (asana), breath control (pranyama) and simple meditation. using these tools you can learn to calm the mind, find your sense of self and from there begin to figure out how to apply it to this crazy thing called life.
there is a yoga practice for everyone. Whether you want to improve mobility, find some inner peace, or it's just an excuse to grab an hour for some "ME" time.
you don't need to know a single thing about it....only that you will leave feeling completely blissed out!
If you need a dynamic, energetic flow to find that stillness, or a gentle, slower paced class is more your cup of tea, there is something for you. Classes will always be practiced with ahimsa - non violence - to body and mind.
it's time to love yourself.
We implore you to try as many classes as you can, with as many of our teachers as you can.
Each class is a personal practice. it is important to listen to your body (it's way smarter than your mind) and understand that no practice will be the same as another as you start this journey.
There is just no way you can leave a yoga class not feeling better than when you came in.

Food For Yer Soul
We're not saying we are vegan, we're not saying we are Vegetarian, we're not saying we are full on carnivore. But just like yoga, everybody has their 'thang' and all we want to try and do is honour and respect it.
What we will say is that the food we serve will be Fresh. It will not have any unnecessary nasties added to it, We will use local suppliers as much as possible and we aim to cook your food as healthily as we can with as much love as we can.
Apart from the naughty bits. 'Cos we all know life is about BALANCE
food is served daily from 10-4pm.
even if you have no intention of taking a yoga class, you're still more than welcome to come in for a tea, coffee, or something stronger...after all, Variety IS the Spice Of Life!!!
